The Indriyas, spiritual faculties, are qualities that support a balanced approach to our practice. In this retreat, we’ll explore how to cultivate faith, energy, mindfulness, concentration and wisdom. We’ll consider the distinct contributions of each of these qualities and how they support and balance each other.
This online retreat offers an opportunity to bring intensive practice into our home environment. The indriyas will provide a framework for responding to the challenges that arise as we practice at home. There will be dharma talks, meditation instructions, guided practices, as well as an opportunity to meet in small groups. There will also be short periods of gentle mindful movements, which can be adapted.
You can watch a brief introduction to the theme and format of the retreat in a video with Jake Dartington here.
Four online sessions per day.
9.30-10.45 Morning instructions and practice
12.30-1.00 Guided sitting meditation
3.00-3.45 Movement and sitting
