This retreat will explore the integration of sitting and walking meditation with periods of mindful dance within the framework of the Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta, the Buddha’s discourse on ways of establishing mindfulness.

Mindfulness meditation practice helps us to connect deeply with ourselves, by identifying the connection between body, mind and heart and letting go of the reactive tendencies which cause us unnecessary suffering. Through practice we can experience deep healing, peace, freedom and openness of heart.

The retreat will be mostly held in silence and will include teachings, guided and silent meditation periods and mindful dance. There will also be opportunities for sharing.

Mindful Dance

Mindful dance accompanied by music is a movement practice that invites our body and mind to relax and come into sync with each other. We will encourage being present with the impulses, moods and energy of the body and mind. Mindful dance invites the mover to make space for whatever emerges without judgement and to experience an authentic way of being whilst moving.

Every move is right when you listen to your inner voice.
