The Development fund enables the college to continue developing and adjusting our programme to suit the needs and wishes of our community. It also helps to keep course prices down by covering a part of our core costs. For many Buddhist centres and communities in the West today the term \u201cd\u0101na\u201d has come to serve as shorthand for an experimental economic system. Central to this system is a commitment to not placing a price on the dharma but making it freely available so that no one be excluded from receiving the teachings for financial reasons.
